The program serves Participants who have an interest in working towards Competitive Integrated Employment (C.I.E), Vocational Skills, Paid Internship Program (PIP), Community Integration, Independent Living Skills and Talor Day Services (TDS) in natural environments.

All EXCEL programs provide a continuum of culturally relevant activities supports and services to assist individuals in maximizing potential and encouraging good citizenship. We offer a continuum of services with the goal of achieving competitive paid employment and individual desire, goals and dreams.

The EXCEL Employment Discovery Day Program (EXCEL) utilizes a “braided” model of services that offers soft skills and other employment services and supports and more traditional day services (e.g., independent living skill training, recreation, social and leisure development when the Participant is not working). The program has robust assessment, skill assessment, job development, paid and unpaid internships, skill training, matching Participant skill and employer need, employer outreach and placement services. All Participants receive supportive services to ensure success in the workplace.

Eligibility For Services:

  • Diagnosis of a developmental disability or condition similar to a developmental disability that requires the same services and supports
  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Lives in Solano and Napa Counties
  • Interest in volunteering, pre-vocational skill building or competitive paid employment
  • A desire and ability to participate in a 1:2 staffing experience
  • Able to take care of toileting, feeding and ambulating independently
